By far our most popular session, the Beginner Ballet class introduces students who have never studied ballet before, or returning students who haven’t studied ballet since childhood, or some other stretch of time away from the barre (recommended for dancers with 0 – 2 years of ballet experience). This class is a gorgeous introduction to ballet, its movement, vocabulary, and cadence. Your instructor will provide focused attention to dancers to help you establish proper form, correctly position your feet and start building stability, coordination, and developing the key muscle groups for classical ballet.
At the Beginner Level, we will work on correct form, use lower intensity movements and fewer repetitions, but you will still get a great taste and feel of what ballet can do for your entire body. We will work on creating awareness for movement, strengthening the back and core, and focusing on your breath to create a beautiful workout experience.
