Serpentine Hoop Earrings from The Met Museum

$85.00

Our striking hoop earrings display a sinuous snake motif derived from the finial on a rare silver wine cup in The Met collection. Made in Britain about 1565, the handsome cup bears the maker’s mark of Affabel Partridge, who worked as goldsmith to Queen Elizabeth I from about 1558-78. Partridge’s work is distinguished by its rich decoration and fine quality. Crafted in 14K vermeil, our stylish earrings feature sterling silver posts.
